Best Seasons for El Yaque

Peak Season

December - April

The strongest, most consistent trade winds. Wind blows 85-90% of days at 18-28 knots. Best for serious riders who want guaranteed sessions. Accommodation fills up fast — book 2-3 months ahead. Higher prices but maximum wind value.

Shoulder Season

November & May

Wind building or fading — still 65-75% rideable days. Great for beginners who want strong but not overpowered conditions. Fewer crowds, lower accommodation prices. An excellent value window for your El Yaque trip.

Off Season

June - October

Lighter wind with 2-3 rideable days per week. Larger kite/sail sizes needed. Best prices on accommodation and rentals. Good for budget travelers, long-stay visitors, and those who enjoy the quieter side of El Yaque.
